We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Michael Page International Canada Limited. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and assisting with monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports and audits. You will also handle the monthly balance sheet, income statement, and changes regarding variances, as well as prepare and file tax reports.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting: Prepare and assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports and audits.
- Financial Analysis: Handle the monthly balance sheet, income statement, and changes regarding variances.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax reports.
- Financial Tracking: Track revenue, cost, and inventory counts.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas to streamline within the office of finance.
- Reporting: Take initiative in presenting ad-hoc reports.
- Education: CPA Designation and/or Accounting Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience within the Accounting or Finance Department.
- Skills: Experience in full-cycle accounting and completion of financial statements, experience with job costing, WIP, and cost accounting is required.
- Soft Skills: Proactively identify areas which require resolution, ability to work within a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment, strong Microsoft Excel skills, and excellent communication and organizational skills.
