Carrington West is a leading consultancy firm specializing in sustainable development solutions. We are seeking an experienced Flood Risk Engineer to join our team in Manchester, UK.

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.

This role will involve leading projects related to flood risk and drainage, with a focus on delivering FRA's (Flood Risk Assessments) and detail design of foul and surface water SuDS. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years' experience in the field, with expertise in Microdrainage, InfoDrainage, and PDSFlow software packages. Additionally, knowledge of QGIS, river modeling software, highways design, and earthworks strategies would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare Flood Risk Assessments in Flood Zone 1, 2, and 3;
* Undertake conceptual and detail design of surface water flood alleviation works;
* Prepare complex foul and surface water drainage strategies incorporating SuDS techniques;
* Expert knowledge of Microdrainage, InfoDrainage, and Flow software Package;
* Preparation of water chapters for Environmental Statements;
* Project Management skills;
* Excellent written and spoken communication skills;
* Ability to work as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications/Education:
* Degree in Civil Engineering or appropriate science;
* Either CEng (MICE, CIWEM) status or equivalent commercial experience;
