Job Responsibilities:
  • Setting up and operating CNC multi-tasking lathes to manufacture components from raw materials.
  • Ensuring products meet the highest quality standards before being sent to the assembly line.
  • Producing small to medium size components efficiently, adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Inspecting work against engineer's drawings using various measuring equipment.
  • Reporting and addressing quality defects promptly.
  • Performing daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks on machinery.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, reporting any issues as needed.
  • Optimizing efficiency through reduced set-up and cycle times, tool life, and monitoring.
  • De-burring, cleaning, and final inspecting of products.
  • Completing all required paperwork for tractability purposes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in operating CNC machine tools, with a focus on 4-axis lathes.
  • Familiarity with reading and editing FANUC programs.
  • Background in low batch component manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in using various measuring equipment to ensure accuracy against drawings.
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks over extended periods.
  • Familiarity with twin spindle machines and AS9100 aerospace quality standards would be advantageous.
