Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Care Team Lead at Cartrefi Cymru Co.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with individuals with learning disabilities, providing them with person-centred support to achieve their goals and aspirations.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting adults with learning disabilities and has excellent leadership and management skills.

You will be responsible for leading a team of care staff, ensuring that they receive the necessary training and support to provide high-quality care services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading a team of care staff to provide person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Providing leadership and management to the team, monitoring performance, and engaging in supervisions, appraisals, and team meetings.
  • Developing and implementing effective support plans to meet the needs of individuals.
  • Managing the service in the absence of the Service Manager and reporting to the Area Manager/on-call manager where appropriate.
  • Undertaking support duties in line with the needs of the people we support, working shifts as directed by the rota.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities in a social care setting.
  • Good understanding of health and safety legislation and management in a social care setting.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and provide cover as required.
  • A full clean driving license and willingness to travel for meetings and training.

We offer a competitive salary of £28,371 per annum, based on a 40-hour week, plus benefits including:
