We're looking for an exceptional Operational Maintenance Specialist to join our Waste Water Recycling team at one of our main sewage treatment works. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical assets and contributing to our mission of protecting the environment.

Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to take your skills and experience to the next level, working on a variety of equipment and assets. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining mechanical assets proactively and reactively to ensure optimal performance.
  • Fabricating, lubricating, and welding activities to support equipment maintenance.
  • Continuously improving mechanical asset base through process optimization and troubleshooting.
  • Interpreting and updating mechanical drawings to inform maintenance activities.

You'll work closely with our design and build teams to implement new processes and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £43,000, plus a range of benefits that recognise great work and support your personal growth. These include:

  • 25 days' holiday + bank holidays (and the ability to buy/sell up to 5 days per year)
  • Annual bonus scheme (of up to £3,000, subject to eligibility)
  • Leading pension scheme – we'll double your contribution (up to 10% when you contribute 5%)

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • NVQ level Mechanical qualification
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Sound diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Basic instrumentation skills (with an opportunity to upskill and develop a second skill set)
