About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Art Therapist to join our dynamic SEND Team based in Redbridge.
The SEaTSS Service supports students from 0-25yrs with SEND across the Local Authority, and we are looking for a specialist staff member to move our medical inclusion service offer forward.
The successful candidate will work with our most vulnerable children and young people, providing a high-quality educational offer while they are unable to attend school.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing art therapy sessions to students with SEMH, behavioural and/or mental health needs
- Developing and implementing individualised therapy plans
- Working collaboratively with teachers, parents and other professionals to ensure effective support
- Maintaining accurate records of therapy sessions and progress
Requirements
- BAAT qualified Art Therapist
- Excellent practice working with young people with SEMH, behavioural and/or mental health needs
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Flexible and child-centred approach
