Job Overview

Safran Electrical & Power is a leading provider of electrical solutions for the aerospace industry. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Product Design team in Pitstone, Hertfordshire.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer with experience in designing and developing mechanical systems for aerospace applications. The successful candidate will have a strong background in CAD design, particularly with Catia and NX software. Additionally, experience with Windchill PLM tools and composite materials would be beneficial.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a team environment. A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.

Key Responsibilities

* Create and support the definition of robust mechanical design solutions for R&D projects
* Deliver engineering solutions that meet 'Design to Cost' and 'Design to Manufacture/Assembly' requirements
* Produce and maintain CAD models, drawings, and parts lists compliant with company standards
* Produce and report on Design Assurance documentation, including design reports, test procedures, and Hand/Stress calculations

Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, Safran Electrical & Power provides a range of benefits, including 8% bonus, excellent pension scheme, 33 days holiday, dental cover, BUPA health insurance, workplace nursery scheme, midday finish on Fridays, and enhanced family-friendly policies.
