Job Description

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Pathway Manager to join our Outpatients Appointment Centre team at Enfield Civic Centre. As a key member of our Elective Access Team, you will be responsible for leading the Clinical Pathway Administrators and ensuring the smooth running of the patient's journey from referral to discharge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the day-to-day work of the administrative teams, ensuring efficient service delivery and effective coordination of duty rosters.
  • Manage sickness/absence and recording of annual leave of the team, ensuring service delivery is not compromised.
  • Ensure ESR information, including annual leave, sickness absence, and employment contracts, are maintained in conjunction with HR and payroll.
  • Allocate and distribute workload across all teams, promoting flexible working arrangements to accommodate patient and clinician needs.
  • Manage the recruitment process for new staff, working closely with the Assistant Operations Manager.
  • Coordinate and engage in the induction of new team members, sharing knowledge and expertise of administrative processes and functions.
  • Monitor individual and team performance, holding regular 1:1 meetings, appraisals, and team meetings.
  • Support the development of good practice and training programs within the Elective Pathway Team.
  • Collaborate with other teams to promote World Class Care customer services and ensure staff understand and maintain these standards.
  • Deal with concerns and complaints, escalating issues to the appropriate manager as necessary.
  • Conduct investigations into performance and conduct issues, in line with Trust guidelines.
  • Review probationary periods and ensure the team is compliant with mandatory and statutory training.
  • Manage bank/agency staff time sheets and ensure the use of bank/agency staff is cost-effective.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate the Trust values and meet the responsibilities of the job description and person specification.
  • Be flexible and able to work on any of our hospital sites.
