Job Description

The AtkinsRéalis UK Infrastructure Project Delivery Practice is the centre of excellence for the delivery of infrastructure projects and the home unit for our project management staff. Our team is responsible for delivering design services across various markets, including Water Infrastructure, Defence, Aviation, Energy, and Urban Developments. We work with a range of clients, including AWE, Berkeley Homes, BAE Systems, and Transport for London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver major multi-disciplinary projects from concept to construction, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Develop and implement project strategies, identifying and mitigating potential risks and contractual/commercial issues.
  • Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting knowledge sharing.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, ensuring effective information flow and project progress.
  • Manage project budgets, invoicing, and cash flow, protecting AtkinsRéalis' commercial interests.
  • Closure and archiving of projects, capturing lessons learned and disseminating best practices.
Requirements
  • Chartered Engineer/Architect or equivalent, with experience managing design, build, and operate commissions on large infrastructure projects.
  • Market sector experience across Water Infrastructure, Rail, Aviation, Defence, Energy, and Urban Development projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Experience with construction contracts, programming, and earned value techniques.
  • Familiarity with BIM and 3D modelling tools, with an understanding of information attributes and management within models.
  • Customer-focused approach, with excellent client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different cultures and working environments, with a supportive and encouraging approach to mentoring.
