At Heathrow Airport, we're looking for a talented Strategic Procurement Manager to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you'll be responsible for managing procurement of infrastructure, helping us to get value for money through obtaining contracts for goods, services, and works.

As a key member of our procurement team, you'll play a crucial role in delivering on our sustainability and decarbonisation objectives, working towards net zero in the air and on the ground. You'll also be responsible for maximising value, minimising risk, revenue generation, and improved airport operations through every procurement contract we design.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring innovative delivery sourcing, procurement, implementation, and contract management with a commercial sensible approach and an aim to add value.
  • Constructively challenging business plans and strategy documents to ensure the robustness of the approach that maximises commercial opportunity and mitigates risk.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders on managing contracts and supplier relationships to maximise commercial and contractual benefits.
  • Supporting and maintaining all necessary agreed processes for supplier management, claims management, benefits, and savings, and continuous improvement targets while meeting all contract, regulatory, risk-reward, and exit strategy requirements.

We're looking for someone with demonstrable commercial and contract management experience, preferably in a variety of procurement and contracting models, specifically in NEC-based contract environments, using a range of reimbursement models. You should also have experience in project delivery to meet business affordability targets and be able to demonstrate relationship building with internal and external stakeholders/suppliers.
