Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement procedures and processes to drive efficiency and cost savings
  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing suppliers to ensure a stable and reliable supply chain
  • Conduct global supplier benchmarking to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Source new suppliers overseas and locally to increase competition and drive down costs
  • Analyse costs and identify areas for savings, implementing initiatives to achieve targets
  • Negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers to secure the best possible deals
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure they meet the required standards
  • Source key components and materials from drawings and Bills of Materials

Requirements

  • Proven experience in strategic procurement, with a strong track record of cost savings and process improvements
  • CIPS qualification or equivalent
  • Experience sourcing from drawings and Bills of Materials
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive or metal fabrication sector
  • Demonstrated history of negotiation and cost savings, with a strong understanding of procurement processes
  • In-depth knowledge of strategic procurement processes and techniques
  • Experience working to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
