About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Process Engineer to join our team at Costain Group PLC. As a key member of our Process Engineering Discipline, you will play a critical role in delivering projects in our Civil Nuclear & Defence Sector, with a focus on our Nuclear Fuels projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop process design deliverables, including process flow diagrams, heat and material balances, process design philosophies, P&IDs, process line lists, cause and effects, and process equipment and instrument.
  • Lead the development of process design deliverables, including process flow diagrams, heat and material balances, process design philosophies, P&IDs, process line lists, cause and effects, and process equipment and instrument.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects from concept to completion.
  • Develop and maintain process design standards and guidelines.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers.
Requirements
  • 10-15 years of experience in chemical/process engineering design for chemical plants.
  • Good knowledge and experience of nuclear industry sector working practices and industry standards.
  • Development of process design deliverables, including process flow diagrams, heat and material balances, process design philosophies, P&IDs, process line lists, cause and effects, and process equipment and instrument.
  • Good knowledge of the major project delivery process from work winning to project handover.
  • Experience in chemical manufacturing and design; gas and liquid relief; solvent extraction; filtration; chemical reactions; solid handling/processing.
  • Experience in leading nuclear effluent and emissions.
