About Us
We're Utility Warehouse, a company on a mission to simplify utilities for our customers. Our vision is to be the go-to provider of energy, broadband, mobile, and insurance services, all in one place.
Job Overview
This is a 9-12 month fixed-term contract opportunity as a Digital Communications Specialist - Internal Channel Development, covering maternity leave. As a key member of our Internal Communications team, you'll drive improvements across our internal communication channels, helping to shape and influence the use of employee channels and platforms not owned by the internal comms team.
About You
We're looking for an experienced and passionate digital communications professional who can help us achieve our ambitious goals. Your experience should include managing internal communication channels and platforms, with a strong understanding of how great digital strategies can improve the employee experience. You'll also need to have a high degree of flexibility, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, as well as an eye for detail.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage internal communications channels, implementing best practice standards and ensuring effective communication with hybrid and customer-facing workforces.
- Partner closely with our Workplace Technology team to define business requirements for all internal communications digital platforms.
- Collaborate with Function Internal Comms Managers to create aligned cross-platform channel matrices for target audiences, driving progress through stakeholder management and influencing the use of employee channels and platforms.
- Lead on driving improvements across existing channels and simplifying our channel matrix based on our FY25 internal comms priorities.
- Manage measurement and reporting processes, including dashboards, to drive improvement across all content and channels.
- Support comms campaigns and editorial planning, prioritizing and tiering comms activity across all channels.
- Support the team by managing the editorial calendar and planning process.
What We Offer
As a valued member of our team, you'll enjoy a range of benefits, including:
- An industry-benchmarked salary, negotiable based on your experience (estimated £55,000 - £65,000 per annum).
- A flexible working arrangement, with 1-2 days spent in our Farringdon hub.
- Discounts on our services and a Cashback Card for free.
- An Electric Vehicle Scheme, matched contribution pension scheme, and life assurance up to 4x your salary.
- Family-friendly policies, designed to support your well-being and that of your loved ones.
- Access to private health insurance, Employee Assistance lines, and Virtual GP services.
- Belonging groups that help us foster an inclusive future.
- A commitment to supporting your growth and development within the role.
