Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Toxicology Expert to join our Chemical Regulatory Compliance team as a Regulatory Ecotoxicologist.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in ecotoxicology and experience working with chemical regulations, particularly REACH. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering expert advice on REACH and other chemical regulatory regimes.

About the Role
  • Deliver technical work, both individually and as part of project teams, related to chemical regulations, specifically REACH.
  • Manage ecotoxicology study packages with third-party CROs.
  • Maintain a high level of technical and regulatory understanding, staying up-to-date with latest developments through CPD, self-led learning, and training courses.
  • Contribute to developing and growing the ecotoxicology offering for both internal and external clients.
Requirements
  • Experience in regulatory ecotoxicology.
  • A deep understanding of UK and EU chemical regulations, particularly REACH, CLP, and BPR.
  • Familiarity with the latest developments in ecotoxicology and ecological risk assessment.
  • Experience as a study monitor for all REACH Annex testing packages, with additional experience in using read-across, QSAR, or NAMs being desirable.
  • Ability to evaluate and summarise ecotoxicology data and environmental risk assessments for regulatory submissions.
  • Experience communicating with EU regulatory bodies, including Member States, EFSA, and ECHA.
  • SIGNIFICANT experience in a professional environment, preferably within chemical regulation.
  • Strong commercial understanding and client relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with various levels within client organisations.
  • Proficiency in standard software packages, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as those specific to chemical regulations (IUCLID, CHESAR, QSAR).
