Electrical Engineer - Asset Integrity

RINA is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join its team in Leatherhead, UK. As a key member of our Energy Engineering Solutions Division, you will be responsible for leading the design, assurance, and condition assessment of electrical plant assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, assurance, and condition assessment of electrical plant assets, including Transformers, Generators, and Switchgear.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to identify and develop new opportunities.
  • Craft consultancy proposals, including technical approaches and pricing, in conjunction with our commercial team.
  • Serve as Project and Technical Lead, ensuring the successful delivery of engineering consultancy projects.
  • Mentor and develop the technical and consulting skills of less experienced team members.
  • Represent RINA at seminars and conferences to maintain our leadership in industry developments.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2:1 bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related STEM subject (BEng, MEng, MSc, or PhD).
  • Technical expertise in at least one, and proficiency in at least two of the following: Transformers, Generators, Switchgear.
  • Consultancy experience in delivering engineering consultancy projects on time and within budget, with strong client relationship management skills.
  • Business development skills in winning engineering consultancy projects and knowledge of the petrochemical and/or renewable energy sector stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality, objective, and concise technical consultancy reports.
  • Ability to travel worldwide (10-25% of the time) and work on-site (10-15% of the time) for project delivery.
