About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Senior to join our team in Leamington Spa. As an Audit Senior, you will play a key role in leading audit assignments from planning to completion, ensuring budgets, deadlines, and expectations are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of audit assignments, including planning, execution, and reporting
  • Lead onsite audit teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with clients and colleagues
  • Prepare and review audit files, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Draft financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Report directly to Managers and Partners, providing regular updates on audit progress
  • Liaise with HMRC on work assignments, ensuring timely and accurate completion
  • Supervise junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure successful completion of audit tasks
  • Converse clearly and effectively with clients and colleagues, using software including IRIS, Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks
  • Manage own workload, prioritizing tasks and updating Managers with work progress
  • Liaise directly with clients, building strong relationships and proactively handling queries
  • Scope out added-value services to support business development
  • Champion professional development, proactively learning from the experienced team
  • Support the wider firm with ad hoc duties, as required

The Successful Applicant
  • ACCA/ACA qualified, part-qualified, or studying
  • Qualified by experience also considered
  • Proven track record of leading audit assignments within a practice environment
  • Good knowledge of audit software, including Xero, SAGE 50, SAGE Business Cloud, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and eager to progress
  • Strong work ethic, time management, and organisational skills
  • Enthusiasm to learn from an experienced team and progress within the firm
  • Hands-on attitude towards building client relationships
  • Proactive problem solver with a keen eye for detail
  • Able to work confidently with senior team members
