Job Overview:

Sterile Services Technicians are key members of our team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Their primary responsibility is to ensure the safe reprocessing and distribution of surgical instruments for use in theatres and clinical departments.

Main Duties:

  • Undertake tasks associated with the cleaning, disassembly, checking, packing, sterilization, and movement of surgical instruments.
  • Follow written instructions, use specialist machinery, and electronic tracking systems in accordance with departmental guidelines.
  • Comply with quality systems, as stated in ISO, Medical device regulations, and other relevant standards and procedures.
