Care Assistant

Care Assistants are required to support individuals with learning disabilities in a unique specialist service. The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic team to deliver person-centred care, utilising care notes and providing feedback to families.
The role involves supporting service users with personal care tasks, moving and handling aspects of care, and medicines management. A positive attitude and ability to act on feedback are essential skills for this position.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to individuals with learning disabilities in a specialist care setting
- Utilise care notes and provide feedback to families
- Participate in regular reviews with families to ensure the needs of the individual are met
- Develop knowledge of care plans and aspects of the job role with support from the team
Requirements
- Level 2 qualification in Care or equivalent experience
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both verbal and written formats
- Understanding of learning disability and associated healthcare needs
