About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and caring Therapy Assistant to join our healthcare team in a mental health setting. As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to our service users.

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting Occupational Therapists in the development and delivery of treatment plans, working collaboratively with Nursing and Support Worker staff to ensure the diverse needs of service users are met.

Main Responsibilities
  • To support Service Users with activities throughout the therapeutic day under the supervision of senior Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychological Therapists, and Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Work innovatively and effectively, taking responsibility for carrying out a range of activities under non-directive supervision, supporting Service Users to increase their independence and well-being.
  • Assist in planning and facilitating individual and group work with Service Users, implementing agreed plans/tasks in familiar or defined contexts.

Requirements
  • Accountability, ability to think creatively, and sound values towards people with mental health, learning and associated disabilities, and complex needs.
  • Able to work on own initiative as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team under directive supervision, actively participating in own supervision.

Estimated salary: £24,071 - £25,674 per annum pro rata, reflecting the value we place on our employees' skills and dedication.
