Job Title: Workshop Supervisor/Manager

Company Overview:
A leading company in the material handling industry is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to manage their workshop operations. This is a unique opportunity to take on a pivotal leadership role with a well-established and dynamic organisation.

Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum

Job Description:
The Workshop Manager/Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of a busy workshop, ensuring optimal workflow and efficiency. They will manage a team of skilled technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance management. The role requires ensuring all maintenance and repair work is completed to the highest standards, adhering to health and safety regulations. Additionally, they will coordinate scheduling, resources, and parts to meet deadlines and minimise downtime. Furthermore, they will monitor and improve workshop performance metrics, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Finally, they will communicate effectively with other departments, suppliers, and customers to ensure excellent service delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
We are looking for someone with proven experience in a workshop management or supervisory role, ideally within the material handling, automotive, or similar industries. Strong technical knowledge of material handling equipment or mechanical systems is essential. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a focus on motivating and developing staff, are also required. Additionally, strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges, are necessary. A commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety, and compliance is expected. Finally, a customer-focused mindset and strong communication skills are essential.
