Advanced Imaging Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Imaging Specialist to join our ultrasound team at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will undertake a comprehensive range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, gynaecological, vascular, MSK, and small parts.

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse variety of cases throughout your workload, across 6 Liverpool sites. Our team is committed to providing high-quality patient care and is actively involved in regular ultrasound CPD sessions and external courses.

We offer a keen training centre for new sonographers, with a mentorship framework in place to support their training and transition into advanced practice.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our university teaching hospital and contribute to the training of specialist registrars in all aspects of diagnostic ultrasound.

Requirements
  • Degree in Radiography or equivalent
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Ultrasound or equivalent

Essential skills include excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to prioritise, and work under pressure. You should be able to train/mentor staff, work on own initiative, and meet deadlines.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, ranging from £45,000 to £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, you will receive a range of benefits, including access to ongoing training and development opportunities, a pension scheme, and generous annual leave entitlement.
