We are seeking a caring and committed individual to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a supportive environment.

About the Opportunity

This is an exciting chance for a graduate or those looking to transition into a career as a Speech and Language Therapist.

You will be working closely with our teaching staff, therapists, and support staff to deliver targeted interventions that aim to enhance students' learning, development, and language acquisition.

Main Tasks:
  • Support teaching staff in creating a positive learning atmosphere for students.
  • Provide emotional and pastoral support to students.
  • Collaborate with therapists to develop effective plans for students.
  • Establish strong relationships with students.
  • Demonstrate a flexible approach to meet individual needs.
  • Display excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Show understanding, empathy, and active listening skills.
  • Work individually and in small groups with students.
  • Safeguard students according to established procedures.
  • Provide personal care support when needed.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Requirements:

No prior experience necessary; however, candidates should demonstrate a genuine interest in working with children with SEN.

A degree is highly valued but not essential.

* A competitive daily rate of £85-£110 (Mon-Fri, 8.30am-4pm, term time only)

The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately £26,300 - £33,600, depending on the location and experience.
