Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer to join our team at Protec Fire Detection PLC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the commissioning and maintenance of our fire alarm systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commission and maintain fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fire alarm systems, including testing and calibration of equipment.
  • Conduct site visits to inspect and test fire alarm systems, identifying and reporting any defects or issues.
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to design and implement new fire alarm systems, ensuring they meet the needs of our clients.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to our clients on fire alarm system maintenance and operation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in fire alarm commissioning and maintenance, with a strong understanding of electrical circuits and measuring devices.
  • Excellent technical skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair complex electrical issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and travel.
  • Validated qualifications and certifications in fire alarm commissioning and maintenance, such as NFPA 72 or BS 5839.
