We are seeking a highly skilled IT Continuity and Resilience Specialist to join our team at SGN. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive disaster recovery standards, plans, and test schedules to ensure the protection and recovery of critical IT systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Maintain Disaster Recovery Plans: Create and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery test schedules, standard test results templates, and plans to ensure timely recovery of critical IT systems and infrastructure in the event of a disruption or disaster.
- Lead Disaster Recovery Tests and Exercises: Execute disaster recovery tests and exercises to evaluate the effectiveness of recovery processes, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure proper documentation, execution, and evaluation of test results while identifying areas for improvement and driving enhancements to our disaster recovery capabilities.
- Measure and Report Response Times: Measure and report on response against application or service RTO/RPO.
- Stakeholder Management and Relationship Building: Create and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels and work to support, influence, and drive resilience across the business, ensuring close alignment with BCM team and company BCM plans.
- Program Improvements and Alignment: Drive program improvements and alignment with industry best practices and regulatory expectations related to disaster recovery.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP)). Ten (10+) years of IT business-related experience, with five to seven (5-7) years of experience preferably in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning.
- Technical Background and Skills: Strong technical background with a solid understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, systems, and applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to recognize and address enhancement opportunities.
- Industry Knowledge and Certifications: Strong knowledge of industry best practices, standards, and regulatory requirements related to disaster recovery (e.g., ISO 22301, NIST SP). Proficient in identifying vulnerabilities and recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures.
- Communication and Continuous Learning: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail and a focus on accurate and timely results. Continuous learning mindset with a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
