Job Summary

We are looking for a Private Client Solicitor with 5+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to advise on all aspects of trust and estate planning. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues to deliver expert advice on a wide range of private client matters, including the creation of domestic and offshore trusts, asset protection, and estate-related tax advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on trust and estate planning, including the creation of domestic and offshore trusts.
  • Provide asset protection advice, particularly in relation to care home fees, divorce, and bankruptcy.
  • Offer estate-related tax advice and handle the administration of estates with assets across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Manage cases involving international conflicts of law.
  • Prepare Wills and inheritance planning for UK-based and international clients.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in trust and estate planning.
  • A solid background in creating both domestic and offshore trusts.
  • Expertise in asset protection, particularly in relation to care home fees, divorce, and bankruptcy.
  • Strong knowledge of UK and international tax planning, inheritance issues, and the preparation of Wills.
  • Experience in dealing with complex estate administration, including cases with assets in multiple jurisdictions.
  • A thorough understanding of Lasting Powers of Attorney and issues surrounding mental capacity.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

What We Offer
