Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join our team at RecruitmentRevolution. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out vehicle services and repairs, examining vehicles and diagnosing non-routine defects, and reporting defects against Department of Environment (MOT) and Vehicle Safety Report (VSR) standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out vehicle services and repairs
  • Examine vehicles and diagnose non-routine defects
  • Report defects against Department of Environment (MOT) and Vehicle Safety Report (VSR) standards
  • Carry out jobs within budgeted time, maintain your team's productivity
  • Take responsibility for daily maintenance of tools and equipment, reporting any defects
  • Work in accordance with key Toyota or Centre processes
  • Liaise with customers directly where relevant and appropriate, listening carefully to build rapport and answering questions in a warm and professional manner to summarise details of work required or carried out
  • Coach and support apprentice technicians, explaining, guiding and enabling others to learn
  • Attend specialised training as required
  • Work as a full member of the Centre team, working with colleagues to provide a seamless and outstanding service to customers

Requirements:

  • A full UK driving licence
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Minimum of NVQ Level 3 in light vehicle maintenance (or comparable)
  • Have minimum 12 months experience within a workshop as a technician
  • Technical aptitude, process-driven, and a fast learner
  • Organised in the workplace
  • Passionate about problem-solving and finding solutions to challenges
  • MOT Qualification is a bonus but not essential
