Construction Health and Safety Professional

The Health & Safety Partnership is seeking a dedicated and skilled Construction Health and Safety Professional to join our team in Leeds, Yorkshire.

This role is ideal for individuals with 2-4 years of relevant experience looking to advance their careers and contribute to ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel involved in construction projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance on CDM 2015 compliance, ensuring that all parties involved in a project meet their obligations.
  • Develop and review RAMS to identify potential hazards and establish effective controls to minimize risks on site.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor safety performance and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement detailed construction phase health and safety plans for project sites.
  • Investigate incidents or near misses on site, identifying root causes and recommending preventive measures.
  • Deliver health and safety training to site personnel, focusing on best practices and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and designers to provide safety advice and ensure alignment on safety matters.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety-related documents, including permits, certifications, and inspection reports.
  • Recommend suitable personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure its proper use by workers.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in health and safety regulations and ensure that all advice and policies remain current and compliant.

Requirements:

  • Thorough knowledge of CDM 2015.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience within the construction industry.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, a proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and adaptability to varying client needs.

A Nebosh General certificate is mandatory; Nebosh Construction or further NVQ or progression with Diploma level qualifications are highly desirable.
