Job Purpose

As a Senior Consultant at RSM, you will play a key role in managing our Technology Risk Assurance (TRA) client portfolio, working closely with Partners/Directors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of assignments at clients' sites.

Responsibilities
  • Control and manage the delivery of TRA assignments, providing solutions to issues as appropriate to the Director/Partner.
  • Lead TRA teams and junior individuals to ensure effective delivery of TRA services.
  • Manage agreed client portfolios for the regional area.
  • Perform complex Financial Services TRA assignments.
  • Represent the Firm in TRA matters, including attendance at client meetings and audit committees.
  • Draft proposals or assist in preparing tenders and presenting them as part of business development.
  • Build relationships with clients and identify/act upon potential additional work opportunities.

Essential Requirements
  • CISA qualified.
  • Relevant experience within IT Audit, Internal Audit & Financial Services or Not for Profit.
  • Demonstrates expertise in a specialist field (e.g. Cyber Risk Strategy).
  • Effective use of IT, including Excel, audit and accounts packages, Outlook.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of the internal audit process and relevant sector issues.

Desirable Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant subject (e.g. information systems).
  • Relevant SOX experience.
  • Takes responsibility for work tasks and quality, managing own workload and deadlines under supervision.
  • Shows enthusiasm and commitment to undertaking tasks as required.
  • Willing to travel nationally and stay away from home when required (less than 30% of the time).
  • Confident and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrates active listening skills and undertakes timely action where appropriate.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Able to organise and manage time efficiently and effectively while being flexible.
  • Considers development of specialist areas of knowledge.
  • Able to work autonomously/pro-actively.
