Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Officer to join our team at the Institute of Food Science and Technology (IFST). As a key member of our Communications team, you will play a crucial role in promoting our work and engaging with our members, stakeholders, and the wider public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective communications strategies to promote IFST's work and activities
  • Produce and edit high-quality content for social media, our website, and other channels
  • Collaborate with our Senior Communications Manager to coordinate our communications activities
  • Build and maintain relationships with our members, stakeholders, and the wider public
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in food science and technology and apply this knowledge to our communications activities
Requirements
  • Experience in creating content for social media and digital channels
  • Strong understanding of food science and technology and its applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive and can-do attitude
