Responsibilities:

  1. Providing individualized support to students with special education needs.
  2. Collaborating with teaching staff to adapt the curriculum and enhance student engagement.
  3. Encouraging students to develop personally, independently, and academically.
  4. Accompanying students on work experience placements, residentials, and trips when necessary.
  5. Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to support plans.
  6. Attending department meetings and participating in professional development as needed.

Requirements:

  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in Maths and English (Grade A-C).
  • Understanding of special educational needs (SEN) and behaviour management.
  • Adequate knowledge of Educational Healthcare Plans (EHPs).
  • Previous experience in a student support/mentoring role.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months required.

Salary:

£18,000 - £22,000 per annum, Pro Rata, based on Term Time hours.
