Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and submit annual price control reviews for Smart DCC, ensuring compliance with Ofgem regulations and guidelines.
  • Lead the transition from ex-post to ex-ante price controls, including the design and implementation of new processes for monitoring performance and re-opening the cost base.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Economic Regulation and Director of Ex Ante to develop and implement economic modelling and incentive regimes.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement and communication with Ofgem, the Board, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Provide expert advice on the economic regulatory framework and its implications for Smart DCC's business operations.

 

Requirements
  • Significant experience in providing strategic advice to senior-level decision-makers in regulatory businesses or government.
  • Thought leadership in developing new regulatory regimes and advising on how to achieve organizational objectives within the regulatory framework.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex issues concisely and clearly.
  • Proven track record of building relationships and collaborating with government and regulators.
  • Ability to influence at senior levels in the organization through developing and communicating robust, fact-based positions.
