Job Title: Principal IVVQ Systems Engineer

Copello is partnering with a renowned Intelligence and Communications business to recruit a Principal Systems IVVQ Engineer/IVVQ Systems Engineer Lead.

About the Role

This position will be based in Maidenhead and offers a competitive package, including a company bonus, private medical care, and a DV Clearance Bonus.

Please note that all candidates must be eligible for DV Clearance (British Passport Holder).

Key Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for the full life cycle verification and validation activities required to formally evidence complex solutions as part of a system engineering approach.
  2. Create and maintain Systems V&V artefacts such as Strategies, Plans, Procedures, Matrices, and Reports, to result in progressively assuring desired outcomes.
  3. Carry out Systems V&V activities in accordance with Systems V&V artefacts, so that internal, qualification, and acceptance events are completed successfully.
  4. Responsible for managing the use of any external V&V facilities/test houses, i.e., organising EMC and TEMPEST qualification, collaboratively develop test harnesses with test houses.
  5. Attains and maintains technical knowledge, attending applicable training courses.
  6. Actively contributes to improving processes, tools, and techniques that increase the quality and efficiency of engineering.
  7. Provides specialist knowledge and support to the wider engineering team.
  8. Exemplifies, leads, mentors, and coaches V&V to engineers and non-technical resources; sharing knowledge willingly and constructively.
Essential Experience
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering/V&V experience of solutions formed of Hardware, Software, and Firmware components.
  • Demonstrable experience of INCOSE/ISO 15288 Systems Engineering of complex solutions.
  • Technical and Line management experience of a team of systems engineers.
  • Experience in writing high-quality technical documentation and the formal technical review of such material.
Desired Experience
  • INCOSE recognition ASEP or CSEP.
  • Experience working as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) and developing new areas of expertise as and when required.
  • ISTQB attained.
  • Experienced in test automation, frameworks, and marriage with manual testing for an overall test campaign.
  • Scripting languages: JavaScript, Python, Ruby, Perl, Bash, Rest, MySQL.
