GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Worker to join our team in Poole. As an Autism Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in providing personalized care and support to students with autism.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement personalized care plans, following lesson plans set by the teacher to meet the unique needs of students.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages independence and personal growth.
  • Utilize effective communication strategies to build rapport and trust with students with autism.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including class teacher and staff, to ensure holistic support.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of students' progress and activities.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as an Autism Support Worker in a school or similar role is preferred.
  • Understanding of autism spectrum conditions and evidence-based support strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of students with autism.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
