We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Catering Manager to join our team at Shire Services.

Catering Manager Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the catering team, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the catering team to deliver exceptional food service
  2. Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, stock control, and waste management
  3. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food safety standards
  4. Develop and implement menus that meet the needs of our clients
  5. Monitor and control kitchen costs, including food, labor, and equipment expenses

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a school or large organization
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of food safety and health and safety regulations
  • DBS clearance

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 3pm, term time only plus 3 additional cleaning days.
