Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CFD Engineer to lead our CFD team in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and leading CFD personnel assigned to projects, ensuring the satisfactory performance of the CFD discipline, and maintaining the standard of work and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate CFD personnel assigned to projects
  • Ensure the satisfactory performance of the CFD discipline and implement necessary actions to maintain the standard of work and performance
  • Be responsible for the CFD content and quality of all work undertaken on the project
  • Lead the development of the CFD capability in the London office
Main Accountabilities
  • Perform CFD simulations and assist in the performance of engineering studies
  • Run proprietary software (e.g. CFX) or in-house developed software
  • Perform engineering calculations
  • Produce technical notes for reporting of study results
  • Presentation of findings to clients
  • Lead and coordinate discipline personnel assigned to a project
  • Ensure that the project scope of work, design basis, philosophies, standards, and procedures, including QA, are known, understood, and implemented by the discipline personnel assigned to the project
  • Direction and monitoring of the execution of work about the content and quality of all documentation within the discipline's scope of work
  • Participate in all directive activities, including preparation and checking documents, specifications, procedures, standards, data sheets, etc.
  • Prepare proposals
  • Travel as required to support the activities listed above
Requirements
  • Relevant Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Significant experience, mostly in the upstream oil & gas business, in a CFD leadership role

  • Good computer literacy with particular competence in MS Office software
  • Full command of the English language, written and spoken
  • Good discipline and team leadership skills
