About the Role

HV Cables CAD Engineer

This is a challenging and rewarding role for a skilled CAD engineer to join our team at Siemens Energy. As an HV Cables CAD Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and drafting high voltage cables for various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and draft high voltage cables using AutoCAD and BIM 360 Modelling
  • Prepare project design drawings, including site prep drawings, route plans, and detailed long sections/cross sections
  • Measure cable routing and confirm route lengths on site at both contract and tender level
  • Review employers' requirements and implement them into CAD drawings
  • Prepare project as-built drawings, review and check as-builts, and H&S files for turnkey projects
  • Complete site surveying and extract data to produce CAD models
  • Assist with project tender packages specific to cabling
  • Coordinate with internal and external team members/design teams/project teams
Requirements
  • Experience in utilising AutoCAD 2D and 3D and BIM 360 Modelling
  • Background in handling 3D cable routing
  • Reviewing project as-builds as and when required
  • Persons (National Grid) accreditation, but we are able to facilitate if required
  • CSCS Card holder would be desirable, but we are able to supply if required
  • Experience in Revit capability
