Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic primary school in the Liverpool area. The successful candidate will be working in the reception class to provide 1:1 support to a child with complex needs, including language and speech difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to the child, adapting to their unique needs and learning style.
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing the EYFS National Curriculum, ensuring the child's progress and development.
  • Collaborate with the speech and language therapist to implement interventions and bucket therapy.
  • Communicate effectively with the child, parents, and school staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment.

Requirements

  • Level 2/3 qualification or recent and relevant experience in a teaching or support role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and staff.
  • Experience with speech and language interventions, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new approaches.
  • Good understanding of the EYFS National Curriculum and its application in a primary school setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
