Job Summary

Oil & Gas Systems Limited is seeking a highly skilled Proposal Engineer to support the Proposals Team with all enquiries relating to Metering and Sampling Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing scope, estimating costs, and providing technical and commercial communication with potential customers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Metering and Sampling Systems packages, including equipment selection and technical proposal preparation.
  • Collaborate with the Proposals Team to create solutions for applications, working closely with engineering staff to provide expertise in equipment selection and overall design.
  • Develop and assist in the creation of P&IDs, Line Diagrams, and PFDs.
  • Perform Pre-Engineering checks using HYSIS, evaluating Phase Envelopes to assist in design.
  • Prepare cost estimates to build final sales prices.
  • Produce proposals, reviewing terms and conditions.
  • Review and interpret customer specifications, national and international codes, and project-specific requirements.
  • Attend and participate in Bid Clarification Meetings (BCMs), Pre-Award negotiations, Contract Review/Kick Off Meetings, Design Review Meetings, P&ID/GA Review Meetings, and Close Out Meetings.
  • Interface with potential customers on technical and commercial communications.
  • Liaise with customers to build professional relationships and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Prepare and check documents produced in-house and by suppliers.
  • Provide engineering support and technical solutions.
  • Review and interpret specifications, standards, and regulations, and project requirements.
  • Obtain and review quotations from suppliers.
  • Assist with contract project work and FAT testing activities as required.
  • Support marketing activities, such as exhibitions and preparation of marketing materials.
  • Continuously improve procedures and working practices.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect company interests.
  • Travel to attend client meetings as required.
