We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at The Avenue School in Brent. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with a range of special educational needs.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to pupils with SEN, ensuring their safety and well-being, and assisting teachers with learning activities. You will also be required to maintain a clean and organized working environment, and provide administrative support as needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Support pupils with SEN in a variety of learning activities, ensuring their health and safety and good behavior.
- Assist teachers with lesson planning and delivery, and provide feedback on pupil progress.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and behavior, and report any concerns to the relevant authorities.
- Provide administrative support, including typing, photocopying, and display work.
- Contribute to the overall work and aims of the school, and work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals.
- Previous experience of working with children with SEN.
- Basic technology skills, including use of computers, video equipment, and photocopiers.
- Knowledge of policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, security, and confidentiality.
- Ability to relate well to children and adults, and respond to their needs accordingly.
- Good influencing skills to encourage pupils to interact with others and be socially responsible.
