About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Consultant Interventional Radiologist to join our team at North Bristol NHS Trust, a major trauma centre and specialist regional centre for major trauma, neurosciences, plastics and burns, orthopaedics, and renal services.
About the Team
You will be part of an enthusiastic team of 8 full-time IR Consultants, participating in a 1:9 IR on-call rota covering Vascular and non-Vascular interventions. We enjoy close working relationships with Vascular Surgery, Urology, and other surgical and medical specialities.
Main Responsibilities
The successful applicant will perform a range of interventional radiology procedures, including nephrostomy drainage, embolization for haemorrhage control, and endovascular interventions for peripheral vascular disease. Experience with EVAR is desirable, and interests in gastro-intestinal interventional radiology would be welcome, given the growing demand for these procedures.
Requirements
A proven ability in the endovascular management of traumatic haemorrhage is essential, as is experience in vascular intervention, including endovascular management of peripheral arterial disease and haemodialysis access. You should also have a skill set of non-vascular interventions, including insertion of nephrostomy tubes.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary of £170,000 - £200,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, health insurance, and annual leave.
