Cloud Security Architect

Are you a dedicated Cloud focused Cyber professional looking to make a significant impact on the security and integrity of a leading MMO? Jagex is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join our team.
This role offers a substantial scope for innovation and a chance to shape the cloud security function at Jagex. Your primary focus will be on developing and enhancing the security posture of our cloud-based infrastructure, utilizing AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Security Architecture & Design:
- Design and implement robust security controls to safeguard infrastructure, applications, and data.
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous monitoring of security measures and best practices for AWS and Azure environments.
- Develop, document, and maintain security processes, incident response plans, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Cloud Security & Management:
- Ensure the optimal use of AWS and Azure security tools and services to enhance the security posture of the infrastructure.
- Monitor and analyze security events on cloud platforms (AWS and Azure), ensuring timely detection and response to potential threats.
- Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to embed security into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps) from inception to deployment.
Requirements:
- Substantial experience within the cyber security domain, particularly with cloud security operations in federated enterprises.
- Strong collaboration, conflict resolution, and leadership skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to lead and perform infrastructure threat modeling, security architecture reviews, and provide security recommendations that balance functional and non-functional requirements.
- Experience with AWS services, containers, orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes), and cloud-native security tools such as AWS Security Hub and Azure Security Center.
- Familiarity with automated security processes such as CI/CD pipeline security, infrastructure-as-code security, and automated patch management.
- Cloud security certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), CISSP or equivalent.
