About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Associate to lead a research project focused on applying machine learning methods to heart and brain image-derived phenotypes. The successful candidate will work on developing models of biological aging in UK Biobank participants, examining the role of environmental exposures in driving accelerated aging and poorer health.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will hold a PhD in a computational subject and have experience with statistical and machine learning methods. You will be appointed at grade 5 and your salary will be in the range of £42,405 to £49,785 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.

The Centre for Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging is a clinical-academic Centre closely linked to the Department of Imaging at Barts Heart Centre and Barts Health NHS Trust. Our team has an established track record for leading internationally competitive research with numerous large-scale resources, including the UK Biobank.

The post is based at St Martin's Le Grand, adjacent to the Charterhouse Square Campus in London. It is a full-time, fixed-term appointment for 12 months with an expected start date of 1st September 2024.
