Adoption Social Work Specialist

Polaris Community is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adoption Social Work Specialist to join our team.
As an Adoption Social Work Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing and preparing prospective adopters, as well as providing ongoing support to approved adopters until the adoption order is granted.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a good understanding of therapeutic parenting approaches and experience in writing robust assessment reports.
Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve high-quality adoption assessments and reports that meet our standards and statutory requirements.
- Provide comprehensive support to prospective adopters, including preparation, placement, and post-adoption support.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all aspects of the adoption process.
- Collaborate with other professionals involved in the adoption process, including adopters, birth families, and local authorities.
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work or related field.
- Experience in adoption assessment and support.
- Good understanding of therapeutic parenting approaches.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working Arrangements:
- Self-employed basis.
- Flexible working hours.
- Ongoing support and supervision from Polaris Community.
