Electrical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at HMP Erlestoke, a category C adult male prison. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of electrical systems within the prison.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and control systems
  • Perform routine inspections and tests to ensure electrical systems are functioning correctly
  • Identify and report any electrical safety hazards or issues
  • Collaborate with other maintenance teams to ensure seamless operation of facilities
Requirements:
  • Level 3 qualified Electrician with experience working in a similar role
  • Good working knowledge of planned preventive maintenance operations
  • Electrician qualified to C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
  • 17th or 18th Edition and Certificate in BS7671
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge and excellent organisational, time management and people skills
