Companion Volunteer for Horizon Makers

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being a companion and friend to others. You will spend time with people who have learning disabilities and autism, accompanying them to activities they enjoy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Act as a reliable companion to attend activities with people who have learning disabilities and autism.
2. Develop strong relationships based on trust and empathy.
3. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection procedures.
4. Assist with sighted guide or orientation tasks when necessary.

Requirements:

• Be kind, empathetic, and friendly.
• Have a good sense of humour and enjoy chatting.
• Be punctual and reliable.
• Be able to deal with information in line with our data protection and confidentiality procedures.
• Be able to assist with sighted guide or orientation tasks.
