Job Title: Maintenance/Production Engineer

CV Library is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance/Production Engineer to join our team in Chichester. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production plant, services, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safety of self and others is of primary concern and comply with all safety, environmental, and other rules and regulations.
  • Ensure the availability of all plant to meet production requirements and services.
  • Liaise with the production Shift Manager to prioritize issues and complete non-breakdown related activities.
  • Assist the production team in delivering the production schedule and ensuring smooth operation of production equipment.
  • Carry out root cause analysis on engineering downtime exceeding three hours.
  • Forward plan PPM tasks and ensure necessary parts and tools are available.
  • Use the SAP system to account for hours, tasks, and costs incurred.
  • Ensure job cards are completed in a timely manner and all engineering time is accounted for.
  • Be actively involved in the Site 5S process.
  • Be competent in the permit to work system and lockout procedure.
Requirements:
  • Multi skilled Engineer with experience of automated industrial food processing and packaging machinery.
  • Diploma level qualification in automation and/or mechatronics/mechanical.
  • Logical working approach to breakdowns and problem solving.
  • Experience with planned maintenance systems.
  • Excellent health and safety awareness.
