Job Role Overview

The role of Graduate Quantity Surveyor is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the success of our projects. As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with our experienced team members to deliver high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior colleagues with a wide range of pre and post-contract duties, ensuring best practice is employed at all times.
  • Administer project work in line with our company policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Represent our company in the marketplace, maintaining a professional image and promoting our values.
  • Act on behalf of the company in a polite and professional manner, ensuring our values are maintained and promoted.
  • Implement all tasks and project requirements efficiently and timely, making every effort to assist with maintaining projects on time and on budget.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels, both internally and externally, to support project delivery.
  • Coordinate and prepare information to support the Client, seeking and listening to their requirements and acting on them accordingly.

General Duties

  • Represent the company in a professionally competent and positive manner, ensuring service quality and integrity is maintained to the highest possible standards.
  • Report as appropriate to the client and other stakeholders in line with the client's requirement and company standards.
  • Network and support business development objectives.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including the use of the Document Management System.

Delivering Great Client Experience

The Graduate Quantity Surveyor will build strong, professional relationships with colleagues, clients, consultants, and contractors, based on mutual respect, trust, and integrity.

In this context, the role will involve representing our company, under senior direction, at project meetings with clients, designers, and contractors to provide advice on all aspects of project assignments and following up on actions assigned to our company at all such meetings.

The Graduate Quantity Surveyor will also communicate clearly, concisely, and coherently with colleagues, clients, and other consultants regarding information required for the purpose of performing our services.

Qualifications

Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or similar experience, looking to progress and gain professional accreditation.
