Commercial and Construction Contracts Lawyer

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Lawyer to join our client, a large and thriving local authority in London, on a locum basis. The contract is for a minimum of 3 months, with the possibility of extension on a long-term rolling basis.

About the Role

The successful Contracts Lawyer will be joining a well-established and welcoming team. Our client is seeking an experienced Contracts Lawyer who has experience of dealing with commercial contracts and construction contracts, such as JCT and NEC. The role will involve a broad range of work, including complex and high-value matters, giving you the opportunity to hold an interesting and varied caseload.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing legal advice and support on commercial and construction contracts
  • Assisting with the preparation and negotiation of contracts
  • Working with the team to deliver high-quality results
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Requirements

To be considered for this locum Contracts Lawyer role, you must be a qualified Lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister, CILEx) and be able to work with minimal supervision. Prior experience working in local government is beneficial, however candidates with relevant experience from other sectors will be considered.
