About the Role:

  • You will oversee Specialist Weight Management Services (SWMS), leading our multidisciplinary team in delivering patient care, focusing on complex cases of obesity.
  • Develop and manage prescribing services, ensuring safety, quality, and effectiveness.
  • Train and support prescribers, providing training, auditing their activities, and offering clinical guidance.
  • Authorise treatment plans and protocols, defining and approving them to meet the service's clinical needs.
  • Direct patient engagement, providing consultations and medical assessments where needed, overseeing care and aligning treatment plans with best practices.
  • Enhance clinical programmes, innovating and improving our Tier 2 weight management, type 2 diabetes prevention, and medication-assisted interventions.
  • Support CQC compliance, working closely with the Registered Manager to maintain robust quality assurance processes.
  • Contribute to research & development, collaborating on programme evaluations, research initiatives, and continuous improvement of our services.

Requirements:

  • Clinical expertise in obesity management, proven experience in hands-on delivery of patient care.
  • Problem-solving skills, proactive and solution-driven approach to both clinical and operational challenges.
  • Adaptability, thriving in a fast-paced environment and comfortable handling diverse responsibilities.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in clinical, regulatory, and operational processes.
  • Collaborative leadership, leading multidisciplinary teams with excellent communication and clinical insight.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Specialist or special interest in obesity care.
  • Strong understanding of CQC governance.

  • A competitive market salary (£90,000 - £110,000 per annum) and generous share options.
  • A hybrid working policy: 2 days/week in our West London office, the rest of the week remote working.
