About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Team Member to join our catering team. As a member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals to a high standard, ensuring that all food is handled safely and hygienically.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar role within contract catering and possess a Level 2 qualification in catering and hospitality or equivalent. They will work collaboratively with the rest of the culinary team to achieve this goal.

You will be required to handle day-to-day food preparation, manage cooking processes, ensure safety and hygiene standards, and maintain high-quality food and service throughout the shift. You will also be responsible for notifying senior chefs of inventory levels and ensuring that the kitchen remains adequately stocked with fresh ingredients and catering necessities.

We are looking for an individual who can multitask efficiently under pressure, possesses excellent listening and communication skills, and understands various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and processes. The ability to work well in a team is crucial, and the candidate should have good time-management and organisational abilities.

In addition, the ideal candidate should have the right to work in the UK, be prepared to undergo a DBS or Enhanced security check, and hold City & Guilds certification, BTEC, or NVQ at a basic level. Completing a food hygiene course at Level 2 would be desirable.

Estimated Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 per annum (dependent on location and experience).
